From the Sagittarius Teapot's spout, drop about 8 degrees south to find M55. Dark skies and a clear southern horizon are essential.

Unlike highly compressed globulars where only outer fringe stars resolve, M55 shows resolved members even toward its center through a 100mm instrument.
